Families interested in learning about The Rise School of Houston for their child should start by contacting the school and requesting a prospective family tour. Jana Post schedules our tours and can be reached at 713-532-7473 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The tour takes about one to two hours and will give families an opportunity to see our philosophy in action, to ask questions, and learn more about the admission process.
Children with disabilities ages six months through six years old are admitted to The Rise School of Houston following an initial screening, comprehensive evaluation, and design of an Individualized Intervention Plan, based on the recommendations of a team of professionals and the child’s family. The comprehensive evaluation consists of a series of assessments that involve an educator, physical and/or occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, music therapist and the child’s family.
Families of children who do not have disabilities, must complete an admission packet. Admission is based on the evaluation, the child’s age and the availability of space in the classroom.
Tuition and Financial Assistance
The Rise School of Houston tuition is $20,520 per year, which includes full-time school and all integrated therapies (physical, occupational, speech and music). The actual cost to operate the school is $2,200 per month per student, but community support and various fundraising programs supply the difference. Siblings who are admitted will receive 30% off their tuition.
Financial aid is available to those that qualify and can cover from 15% to 70% of their regular tuition cost based on the family’s adjusted gross household income and the number of persons living in the household. The financial aid application is an optional part of the registration process.
Tuition is based on the full year program costs and is paid in 12 equal monthly installments. Tuition is not reduced during school breaks, family vacations, schedule adjustments or absences unless special arrangements are necessary and approved. Tuition is to be paid on a monthly basis, due by the 1st of the month with late fees beginning after the 10th of each month. For returning students only, August tuition is due by June 1st to reserve a spot for the upcoming school year.
