National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) The Rise School of Houston is a NAEYC-accredited institution, a designation bestowed on only nine percent of early childhood centers in the United States. Those holding the designation have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive review - both internal and external - to verify compliance with the Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Programs.
The Rise School is licensed by the Child Care Division of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS). TDFPS regularly monitors the school for compliance through site visits. The most recent compliance report is available from the director.
Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) The Rise School of Houston is proudly affiliated with TCH and its Down Syndrome Clinic. The hospital originally hosted Rise in one of its office buildings for a decade before managing the planning and construction of the new facility in 2011. Rise is deeply appreciative of TCH’s involvement as they continue to provide therapists and professional services to support students and faculty.
Texas Medical Center (TMC) The Rise School of Houston is also proudly affiliated with the TMC. The TMC generously provided land for the new Rise facility through a long-term lease agreement. The facility is adjacent to the TMC YMCA. This allows families to use the YMCA for before/after school care.
